The planning went through the window

It could have been a clear evening, but there was a thin layer of cloud. The moon was nearly full and there were two temporary floodlights on the windmill - so these were less than perfect conditions for star trails. Also Chesterton does have several airports nearby -perhaps another evening could produce better results.

The Althop Estate has been busy sowing fields of wild flowers, here at Great Brington. Unfortunately it does not compensate the murder of the hedgerows to the south and east of Earl Spencer's Manor house.
